Pacific Resource Centre

Open to all of the public, our Pacific Resource Centre features over 1,000 books, videos, photos, music and magazines on a range of themes from Indigenous sovereignty, human rights, environmental sustainability, gender and South Pacific language.

The collection covers a range of countries including West Papua, East Timor, Fiji and many other areas of the South Pacific. What makes the collection so valuable is the thousands of grassroots newsletters, limited circulation periodicals and issue papers that we have collected over the years. These items are rarely included in North American mainstream collections of Pacific Island materials.

We also offer an in-house media production studio featuring a variety of technical equipment and production programs. We encourage the public to make use of the studio for storytelling, art, education and activism related to our vision and values.

All peoples’ are welcome to drop by our office at #407 620 View St. in Victoria, BC, enjoy our coffee and make use of our extensive resources. Learn more about membership here.

We rely on the generosity of people like you for our work across the Pacific. Consider giving today to support our Pacific Resilience COVID Response!
